An industry that has overproduced on gummint subsidy for DECADES. Since friggin’ FDR, fer crying out loud. These guys and the Iowa Ethanol folks need to be pushed off the gummint teat.

I’m guessing that by mentioning Iowa, you are including all of the corn belt states, since they all are in the ethanol game.

The guvmint doesn’t care about small farmers; only cheap food (compared to the rest of the world). I know of a big corn/soybeans/hog farmer near Galesburg, IL, that already had been born into a large farming operation. He has made it bigger thanks to the ethanol program. He has gotten so big that he and his wife show themselves separate operators in order to beat the subsidy limit.

I think it’s awg.org or something like that. Public money, so it’s public information. Last I looked they were the top husband and wife team money getters in Knox Co IL.

Over the last 8 years he’s added ‘farm equipment’ that he needed (tax deductible four passenger airplane and two seat helo).
