If you want to reduce a negative thing that is occurring, then engaging in that same negative activity in the form of retaliation is not the way to go about it. Doing that simply doubles the amount of that negative activity.

I'm not seeing that will do any good. Since this is considered a "Pro-Trump" site, the nasty Trump supports have little incentive to stop calling Cruz supporters nasty names, since their standard bearer routinely calls his opponents nasty names. I refuse to remain silent when I see it.

I do not believe that any of them were conservative...

I believe most of them were more conservative than Trump. The only GOP candidates more liberal/statist than Trump were Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, Mike Huckabee and John Kasich. Gilmore was such a flash in the pan, I haven't even thought much about him.

As far as I'm concerned, I could have comfortably voted for (in no particular order) Rand Paul, Cruz, Rubio, Jindal, Perry, Carson, Fiorina or Walker in the general election. I would have plugged my nose to vote for Santorum, Graham, Huckabee.

I would have had to get over my gag reflex to vote for Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, Mike Huckabee or John Kasich in the general election. I probably would left the POTUS line blank and voted for the other races if they were the GOP candidate.

I can't ignore how much money Trump gave to big liberal candidates, even those such as Kamala Harris in my state of California, who was running for CA Atty General and had NOTHING to offer a NY state real estate mogul in terms of anything.

He also donated tons of money to establishment GOP candidates and anti-TEA party candidates, the same ones you say have "betrayed us to such an extent that some of us are just not with them any longer." The fact that Trump's hard core supporters who have supported him from the very beginning consider this of little relevance leads me to question their conservative bona-fides. I feel sympathy for the ones who are simply supporting Trump because he's the last one standing.

The topic of this thread is all about the 2nd Amendment. The fact that Cruz was the brains behind the successful defense of our 2nd Amendment rights in the case Heller v. DC covers a multitude of his alleged faux pas as far as I'm concerned.

Trump hasn't done enough yet to atone for his funding of pro-establishment/anti-TEA party and progressive candidates. Half-assed comments like the comments he made about using either the no fly list or the terror watch list, to deny people their 2nd amendment rights is NOT inspiring my confidence in him or in any conservatives who have been on the Trump Train from day one.

I said in another post that I hope the NRA whips him into shape but since Trump boasts that he has never done anything that requires asking for forgiveness/repentance, I don't hold much hope for him.

Kamala Harris is all the rage with everybody. For some reason.
