I’m hoping he’ll be prompted to re-evaluate his position if sufficent numbers of his supporters spread sound, well-reasoned arguments. He does listen in as much as can be expected, especially when representatives of public opinion have high profile soapboxes (such as well-respected (by Trump’s standards) journalists.) Also through grassroots appeals to his campaign in sufficient numbers, it is hard to ignore a flood of hand-written letters.
Personally, I give Trump more leeway to make mistakes than career politicians, he isn’t one. But because of this, because I can forgive his stupid-mouth, it is crucial that I make noise when something he does disturbs my liberty-conscience mind, as this does. I really hope more of his supporters see things as I do (forgiving but loud.) If it ever comes to the point he acknowledges a unison voice of reasoned dissent, yet ignores it, then we must re-evaluate our support. I have faith in Trump, eyes wide-open, but the day I blind myself is the day I’ve sold myself down the river. Know when to walk away from a bad deal.
You don't weigh in often, but when you do, it's ALWAYS a post worth reading.
