I think it has to do with the fact liberals love everything that’s the opposite of the West and more particularly, Christianity and that explains why they view Islam in a flattering light - because Islam opposes it as much they do.
Once you understand it, liberalism’s Islamophilia begins to make a great deal of sense.If Muslims loved the West, Christians and Jews, liberals would be their enemy. To the extent Muslim hatred of those groups coincide with liberal hatred of them, their mutual alliance of convenience falls into place.
Liberals have no great love for tradition or conventional values and for the moment, even though Islam is pretty reactionary, it helps liberals in dismantling Western civilization. After its gone, liberals and Muslims can fight each other over who gets to lead the post-Western world.
In hindsight, liberals remind me of the last willing victim fed to the crocodile. Because they can’t see evil, in the end, for all their hard work, they will get their richly deserved comeuppance. The liberal utopia they think they’re building, is not long for this world.
Their hatred of things is often too irrational and contradictory to the values that they espouse to be a simple matter of their liberal nature. Their fondness for Islam is a great example. Islam is all kinds of antithetic to American liberalism. It is the modern manifestation of the medieval Christian practices that they are so fond of infusing into their anti-religious rhetoric. They worked so hard to reform the Christian church into a more tolerant and less brutal religion which has been fairly accepting of them in the past couple of decades only to embrace the most zealous, radical, and brutal religion on earth. it makes no sense. It is illogical. I can only see one reason why they would adopt such an attitude and that is, they embrace them because we shun them. Honestly, we ought to embrace Islam. We ought to fight to get as many of those crazy mother fu***rs over here as possible. And, as a matter of fact, if we lose this election, that will be my new attitude: embrace Islam ...just for the liberals. The same for Mexicans and drugs. I will embrace all the plagues of Egypt...for the liberals.
