“All they both need is more U.S. supplied equipment for the next round.”
....and a coin to toss to determine whose turn it is to run...
Well done!
Ok, great. So ignoring the obvious, that a war move timed to make Cankles look good (somehow) is underway, can be played right back against Bobo - hmm, crisis over, we don’t NEED THESE REFUGEES.
What’s this, the third time “we” have taken this town?
Whenever I hear someone say ISIL, I think they have a speech implement. A lisp.
Kill. Them. All.
I wish the Shiite armies of Iraq all good fortune in killing the the Sunni bastards. Please call us when it is over and let us know how it went because we are finished with that. Been there done that. The next time we go we go for OIL!!
“Whats this, the third time we have taken this town?”
First when we conquered Iraq in 2003.
Then a two-step in 2004, where the Marines encountered a widespread insurrection and pulled back, to organize and conduct a deliberate door-to-door clearing operation (that was the big one.
This time, we are just flying over, dropping bombs, while Iraqis do all the dying. After it is over, the US will likely have little influence over what happens there, Iran is likely to have more - but ISIS is really getting its butt handed to them.
Schroedinger's Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi
Maybe he’s zombified (the undead)?
Great, so Shiite Iraqi military forces backed by the terrorist Iranian regime deal a defeat to Sunni terrorists. Hey, it’s progress. But let’s not kid ourselves: that place will continue to be a dangerous terrorist (of one kind or another) cesspool long after we eventually decide we’ve had enough and leave, like we always do.
The Marines took Fallujah many years ago, before the President gave it back through his pull-out strategy (could that be called a strategy?). Our Iraqi allies just had to pay for it again. Thank you Obama.
The Institute for the Study of War (former Chief of Staff of the Army’s organization) has weighed in on the Iraqi Government reports of victory in Fallujah. (http://understandingwar.org/backgrounder/fallujah-control-terrain-map-june-17-2016 )
Their take is that the town hall has been captured and rapid advances were made, but lots of areas remain to be cleared on the North side of the main highway through town.
Worse in their analysis, Shi’ite militias, mainly the Badr Brigades, have now entered the city in force. This is likely to lead to an enduring sectarian political problem going forward for Iraq, and for the Mosul Operation.
In the past (Tikrit, for example), the Government has declared victory early, fighting continued for weeks, militias entered after the military (despite prior agreement not to), conducted systematic looting, abuses and destruction; and were left to occupy the area while the regular military moved on toward the next objective.
Now can we get them to conquer Chicago?
Here is what is going to happen.
1. In short term, Shite militia will loot rape and kill every Sunni left in Fallujah.
2. Sunni’s will eventually ethnically cleansed from Fallujah
3. Iraqi Civil War will restart in the Sunni Triangle.
4. Iraqi government will stop all pretense that it is a non-sectarian government.
5. Kurds, having created a buffer zone, will retreat back to Kurdistan.
6. American and British forces will leave Iraq.
You can bet the leaders left dressed like women months ago.
Follow the money , many will be popping up in Libya to head into Egypt . The muslim brotherhood in Turkey is playing chess and these guys are causing the conditions for the rise of the Ottoman Empire (No one becomes the real Calif without the support of the muslim brotherhood but Al Baghdadi is still very useful to them )
Don’t be surprised if the Iranians take Mosul by flooding it.
Leaving O'bummer deeply conflicted.
If it were not for possibility that it eventually turn out as working for the greater good (the hoped-for defeat of the Great Satan, America), then O'Bummer would have no consolation.
A loss for O'Bummer's chief enemy (the nation, and object of his most deeply held hatreds) is a win, for him.
Aloha Snackbar!
Bronco Bammy was able to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.!
Notice the AP story mentioned air missions by the Iraqi Air Force. Good. Hope they hit their targets but good for ground troops morale to see their own planes in action.
I wonder if any of our ops are helping the Iraqis to perform GSR testing on fleeing males from Fallujah? One good way to find out if they fired a weapon recently. Also did they just shave in violation of Islamic rules? A go d hint that they are ISIS>
Then time for an ISIS BBQ (old cages are still available). Burn, Baby, Burn.
Re one writer who asked whether the “COEXIST” bumper stickers actually worked. Well, if they were attached to bombs and rockets, then, YES. It’s how you deliver the message that counts.
