The Dalai Lama was forced to answer some difficult questions during his trip to the US - about everything from terrorism in the wake of the Orlando nightclub shooting to the vocal criticism of President Obama by the Chinese after he hosted the Tibetan spiritual leader in the White House.
But none of those questions gave his holiness as much trouble as Fox News host Bret Baier asking him during an interview on Wednesday if he had ever seen the film Caddyshack.
Baier and his guest had been having a discussion about terrorism and the Muslim faith when the political anchor decided to lighten the mood by asking: 'Last thing, have you ever seen the movie Caddyshack?'

Visibly confused, the Dalai Lama responded to this by saying: 'What?' Baier tried again, saying: 'Caddyshack the movie.'
The Dalai Lama seemed to give up at that point and said: 'I don’t know.'
A persistent Baier tried one final time though, saying: 'The part about the Dalai Lama.'
Things only got more awkward from there when Baier decided to ask a few more follow-up questions about sports and a film that the spiritual leader has never seen in his life.
'Have you ever played golf?' asked Baier. 'No,' said the Dalai Lama.
'You’re not a big hitter?' asked Baier, in his fourth reference to Caddyshack.
'In badminton,' said the Dalai Lama, who then began to swing an invisible racket above his head.
'But not golf?' asked Baier, again.
'No,' said the Dalai Lama, again.

You have given me much to think about. Thank you for your considered replies. I am now seeing how the hippie worship of peace that infected the US since the 60s and that idolized such figures as the Dalai Lama and the Maharishi have eroded our national ethos.

This line of questioning demonstrates Fox News’ lack of respect and low opinion of their audience. They’d do well to study at the knee of Brian Lamb.
That man is not "holiness" in any sense of the word. Just because a bunch of followers think he is, doesn't make it so. Over 1 billion muslims think Mohammed the false prophet had some kind of authority from some god they believe in. Just because they are so many and can kill those who disagree with them, doesn't make it so. King Nebuchadnezzar found that out with Shadrac, Meschac and Abed-Nego. God is Holy as are Jesus and the Holy Spirit per what the Bible teaches. Any other teaching is false teaching and will be seen as such eventually.
Also, Bret Whateverhisnameis was very disrespectful without cause in a public interview and I would have to agree with that premise. He should not have been disrespectful to a public figure like that who has not initiated any conflict with him.
