NORTH PORT, Fla. (AP) Police in Florida went above and beyond by surprising a boy at his eighth birthday party after no one responded to his invites.
News outlets report Daniel Nicastros parents say this wasnt the first time no one has called to say they were coming to their sons party in North Port. The Nicastros say making friends is difficult for Daniel, who has autism.
So his parents decided to invite the police officers, who Daniel considers superheroes, to the party.
They were hoping a few officers would show up, but instead, an assembly of officers arrived, even bringing gifts.

Thanks for posting that story. I like to see that the police stepped up to buy the grave stone for that little boy when nobody else in his “community” cared after his murder was no longer advantageous.
The other parents still could have RSVP’d why their little one could not come to the party.
Evidently, no one bothered with that little bit of civility.
You summarized the problem. The parents teach compassion. They must have been too busy to care whether their children RSVP’d this boy’s party.
