The first three words are wrong. The entire jeremiad rests on a false premise.
Even if it was revised to read “All guns CAN kill,” it would still be wrong.
Guns don’t kill. PEOPLE sometimes kill, and sometimes they use guns to do it.
So the accurate premise would be “Any gun can be used to kill.” That places the argument in the passive voice and removes the focus from the instrument to the user, the sentient power behind the tool, and the entity who is actually responsible for the killing.
If guns kill, then bring the guns up on charges.

No guns kill. People kill. Using a wide variety of implements and means. Guns are in the distinct minority — people kill with cars a lot more than guns. This article is a joke from top to bottom. What a shame for Chicago that one of its major media are so controlled as to try to distract its citizens away from that city’s real issues
