Would you happen to know if there was a recipe for mocha chip ice cream?
My favorite was when I was a little girl, and my mom would pile us two girls into her little Corvair (yikes!) and off we’d go to Howard Johnsons for either scoops of their house brand mocha chip, or an ice cream soda, chocolate soda with mocha chip ice cream.
Their ice cream was known to be so good, and particularly the flavors with chocolate chips because they didn’t just add huge hunks of chocolate that were hard to bite. Instead, they added SHAVED chocolate, which was so much easier, and TASTIER, because the flavor of the chocolate melted into the coffee part of the ice cream.
How I miss that Howard Johnson ice cream of the 1960’s!
Cuisinart has a recipe for mocha chip ice cream on their website that sounds pretty good. Just do a web search.

I notice they use expresso powder and cocoa. Hmmmm, I will have to think about that. Coffee i/c is difficult because you need so much to get the coffee flavor strong enough. Expresso might be a good way.

I hope they identified and arrested the domestic terrorist who struck the photographer in the head with a rock.
There is no need to go “soft” with these people. They know exactly what they are doing.
So what if it “ruins” the rest of his life? He made the choice to throw a rock at someone’s head, for God’s sake.
