Gilley’s! Hubby’s band played there on one of their tours back in 78. Loved all those Texas dance halls, dancing the Cotton Eyed Joe.

Texas has THE best “daince” halls.
One of my faves being Gruene Hall....Texas’ oldest dance hall. (Pronounced Green.) I’ve danced the Cotton Eyed Joe a few times, there :)
I never made it to Gilley’s....but, I did visit Billy Bob’s in Fort Worth.

All the tours we made over 8 years were fun in hind sight. Lots of memories and experiences. Got to see all 48 lower U.States and parts of Canada.

I’m not sure if he dances the two-step or the Cotton Eyed Joe, but I imagine he’s a pretty suave ballroom dancer :) He’s a fast learner, so we can have him in boots and on the dance floor two-stepping and waltzing, in no time!
