Spot on. It's not a fun gun to shoot. Mine is a hammerless, SS Taurus. It's my primary carry weapon. It's reliable and rugged. Whenever I let someone else fire .357 through it, I always caution them on thumb placement, primarily because of that flash from the wheel. Whenever I go to the range, I put at least 10 rounds of .357 through it to stay sharp. Beyond that it gets uncomfortable. The only fun part about it is when it draws attention from others at the range. "You want to shoot it?" "Naw. I'll pass." - LOL
When you carry do you have it loaded with .357? I usually go with .38+P because I think I can make quicker, more accurate, follow up shots with that caliber.
My absolute favorite part of going to the range is trading guns with folks and trying them out. I like to let people shoot my Mosin and feel the kick. A fun time is had by all.
It’s almost like a “community”, if my people were allowed to have a community, which we are not.
A T/C Contender with a 10 inch .223 barrel will draw some attention.
