As some Republicans struggle with justifying their support for Donald Trump after a series of controversies including his recent attack on an American-born judge for his Mexican heritage and a doubling down on his call for a temporary ban on Muslims entering the U.S. the two Republican senators from Tennessee aren't lending their overt support.
Sen. Lamar Alexander isn't calling Trump the GOP nominee just yet, as reported by an Associated Press reporter.
When his office was asked about the comments, Communications Director Jim Jeffries confirmed them and said, Republicans officially choose our nominee in July. Sen. Alexander has said he will support the Republican nominee when we have one.
And Sen. Bob Corker told reporters at the Capitol that Trump's speech following the worst mass shooting in American history "wasn't the type of speech one would expect" from a presidential candidate.
In an effort to be constructive, I have offered public encouragement at important times, but I must admit that I am personally discouraged by the results," Corker said, according to his office. Corker has been mentioned as a possible vice presidential pick for Trump.

WE ALL know ALL monies go directly to TRUMP, these RINO bastards will NEVER get a dime from me!!!
The NRCC called me today and said they were calling on behalf of the NRRC and Donald Trump. I responded nice try buddy but I will be donating directly to the candidate. I am tired of financing RINOs. He was not happy. Be aware of this tactic.
That is interesting because I see not one word about Trump on the NRCC and NRSC websites. In fact, the news is full of GOP Senators and Congressmen trashing Trump today. They can all die in fire for enabling the Butcher of Benghazi.
Looks like the traitorous Twin Tennessee senators are up to no good again.
Both are big time RINOS and will toe the Establishment LIBERAL GOPe line. They vote more Dem than Republican.
Lamar is a Oath Breaker, of 2 terms and out. Corker has his eye on the Governor’s seat probably as soon as 2018.
