I have an original Model 1870 In GREAT condition (.40/.44).
Per the serial number, it was manufactured in 1890. My father in law and I put about 15 rounds through it in February. It was pretty popular at the range. It’s been in the family since it’s original purchase.

I wish it could talk.

I don’t think it can be considered an assault rifle because it is lever action. Right? (j/k)
