I read something recently where Amarillo is overrun with refugees.
Lubbock is overrun with them as well!
Oldest grandson used to work about 40 miles from there. Said area where he worked is almost total illegals from Mexico, Central and South America including all their families. Employers even provide low cost housing. Few English speaking residents in small town and only one other person spoke English on his work crew. He left after one year and returned to Oklahoma.
Last time I was in Amarillo, seven or eight years ago, the city was going heavily Hispanic. The white population was moving to the west of the town at such a rate that a local wag said, “The way the center of Amarillo is heading west, in ten years, it will be in Tucumcari.”
