Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said Tuesday that passing gun control laws is now "part and parcel of homeland security" in an interview on CBS This Morning.
In the segment which was flagged by Politico, Johnson said this was the first time he had vocalized such a belief publicly. President Obama and congressional Democrats have made a renewed push for gun control laws in the wake of the Orlando terrorist attack on a gay nightclub that left 49 people dead.

Apparently General David Petraeus is pushing the same “homeland security means more gun control” agenda. We dodged a bullet with him thanks to his security breach/sex scandal, otherwise he would have run for political office as Douglas MacArthur and then governed like Wesley Clark.

Thanks, I found it. Was an MCX. I was looking at one a few months ago and the thing that really impressed me were the ergonomics and how light it was. What I really didn’t like was the horrible trigger pull. I’d like to have one, but I haven’t done the research yet to see how much, if any, of the MCX is compatible with standard AR parts, primarily the trigger. I’m a big fan of Sig, but much of their stuff is proprietary, and that creates some disadvantages.
Gun control is so central to my homeland security priorities that I practice gun control a minimum of six days a week at the range, plus air gun practice when I’m not at the range. Without exception, I fire at least 100 rifle and 100 pistol shots daily - some centerfire, some rimfire, and some just air gun pellets.
Practice is the key to gun control, and the best thing someone in Jeh Johnson’s position could do for our country would be to mandate that level of preparedness nationwide.

Whenever I see the word “Jeh”, I immediately think “meh”.
He is an extremist, racist, marxist black person who hates white people, put in position of authority over the very people he personally hates. What could go wrong?
“Civil Defense” involved American civilians.
Homeland Security is arrayed AGAINST American civilians.

According to Sig, the upper is compatible with an AR lower, so everything below the line is OK, but pretty much nothing above is.
You really like yours? I’d like to get the SBR version. Very eloquent how a can fits inside the hand guard.
Unless I set up a “Go Fund Me” page, I won’t have the scratch to get one.
So the DHS is inherently unconstitutional now.
