Really? “Doddering old Pat” has been a strong voice in the wilderness for conservatism for decades and has a firmer grasp of the issues facing this dying country than the “smart young guns of the conservative movement” like that sorry excuse for a man Paul Ryan, Marco Rubio, etc., etc., ad nauseam.

You seem to agree with the major premise of his argument here.
Buchanan was anti-globalist, and anti-PC, anti-senseless wars, anti-nation-building, anti-Bush 41 and 43, and anti-multi-culti, from the very beginning. Long, long before it was cool, as it is now.
He took tons and tons of grief for his beliefs, too, even being unjustly smeared as an anti-Semite by Buckley and other cowardly neo-cons of the Bill Kristol variety.
Pat was rebelling against Bill Kristol and the globalists thirty years ago for crying out loud.
Part of the reason why we are in the mess that we are in is people who bash him because of some weird personal animus, like the fact that he is not hip enough. Instead of analyzing what he says, they ridicule his haircut and southern accent and call him a racist. By doing so they poison debate and you work to oppose the whole Trump reform movement.
Trump and Buchanan are on the same exact page.
Liberals like to ridicule and bash conservatives like Pat but deep down they either agree with him and fear admitting to it, or, they don't have the intellect or scholarly background to refute what he says.
