Just to freak you out a little...
The Norse histories say they come from a land in Turkey, they were pushed out and kept being pushed north by conflicts with other nations/tribes.
The name of their original country in the histories, was pronounced “Eden.”
It was ruled by the goddess Idunn whose golden apples conferred eternal youth.
It was a part of their religion that eventually they would regain their country. So when Christians met Nordics they asked their religion, the Northeners called themselves “heathen”.
The Christians were used to pagans with nature religions in Rome and Gaul, so they interpreted “heathen” as “people of the heath”, as though the Northerners worshipped a bush. They were wrong.
Heathen = proto-germanic “hei-edan” or “heidan”, as in “hieing to/going to, Eden”. We are on a pilgrimage to Eden.
Odin lived almost 900 years like Adam and died of tuberculosis. The mystical “tree” he hung on led to nine worlds including this one, for a total of ten.
The Jewish Kabbalah also has a “tree of life” and lists ten celestial spheres.
Odin marks himself on the chest before he dies with the tip of a spear. All warriors wanting to be marked that way belong to Him. Jesus was a God/Man of peace and required no dedication, just as John the Baptist said Jesus needed no baptism, but Jesus said Do it anyway that scripture may be fulfilled. A coincidence that a Roman man of war pricked his chest with a spear and then pronounced him righteous, a Son of God.
I can go on longer than my fingers can tap. I can’t prove it yet, but all the time white people said black people had the mark of Cain, we mighta shoulda looked in the mirror.

That is fascinating...I took several European literature classes while in college. I enjoyed all of them. One of my favorite professors graduated from the University of Dublin. Archabald Irwin He drank iced coffee during the lectures. Don’t know why I remember that. LOL
