I so hope you’re right :-)! This could also mark the end of the Rockefeller-Ford wing of the Republican party. This election has the potential to put an end to everything that was wrong with the late 1960s.
There would still be plenty of work to do if that happens ... it’s not like it’d be all unicorns farting Skittles and world peace ... but it’d be the first step in the right direction since the 80s.
I thought we would have seen a shift back to some kind of normal with W. Bush in 2001, but I was dreadfully wrong and I’m thankful to have learned a lesson blindly trusting anyone that says they’re “conservative”. He seemed to check out from reality right after he was reelected (I guess it was the Medicare expansion hangover and time to hand things over to the kids in the Democratic party).
This total disconnect from reality the left / RINOs promote is destroying lives to say nothing of our country. It’s not like they’re even frigging Communists ... it’s like they’re some kind of bastard hybrid of sex crazed, money hungry teenagers dressed up as people in their late 60s that abuse the worst aspects of capitalism to get rich and promote socialism to maintain control. They’ve vomited a set of societal norms that are impossible to follow let alone accept as natural. People are so damn sick and tired of this “peace, love, dope, and taxes” mindset regardless of overall political persuasion.
To see this end with someone like Trump at the helm ... someone that drives these leftists mentally insane ... would bring the biggest smile to my face. To see Trump then live up to merely some of the expectations hes promised would be incredible as I had all but given up hope when it comes to seeing a United States more like the one I know it could be.
