The best thing Trump can do is to say little and let the facts speak for themselves, and hope his supporters don’t make any stupid remarks that he will be asked to explain.
It’s a dead cert that Obama and Hillary will crudely politicize this horrendous crime. Trump would be smart to appear to be above that.

I disagree. Democrats do it all the time for their advantage. Trump has to grab this by the horns and point out that this happened on Obama’s watch. Repub just sit and take it all the time. Time for a change.
