One of the things my wife and I had to get worked out before we had children was the family demeanor toward the potentiality of a homosexual child.
My wife, as a typical Gen Xer, would acknowledge that homosexuality is wrong, but that acknowledgement came with so many caveats I finally had to ask her “how do you intend to teach them there is anything wrong with it?”
Needless to say, she had no answer because her opinion was formed by indoctrination rather than thought, reflection, and study.
I’m proud to say, while she obviously still feels the pull of social acceptance, she has come to see some of the concomitant traits that go along with homosexuality as corrosive to the human psyche, regardless of the religious taboos.
