Yes, one would think. :)

However, as articulate and as tough as Newt can be (on his good days), I see no upside for TRUMP in having Newt around. (Or, his baggage full of past scandals, grudges, and that tendency of his to brutalize the wrong people, and then cozy up to them, against the right people.)

Newt is a whiplash sort.

Sessions possesses the qualities of loyalty to the country, to our nominee, to our nominee’s best arguments, and Jeff has the expertise to get all of it circulating through the Hill. Sessions is the sage of the Senate on the most perilous issues before us.

Newt can be very brilliant at times. I think he would do well in the administration in a back ground roll. Possibly Chief of Staff.
