The Tampa speech was fun. I really liked that he asked the crowd for their input on his VP selection. It got the crowd more involved, which is always good, but I also think he was genuinely curious to find out what they would say. In The Art of the Deal, he wrote that he always listens to peoples opinions:
Im a great believer in asking everyone for an opinion before I make a decision If Im thinking of buying a piece of property, Ill ask the people who live nearby about the area When Im in another city and take a cab, Ill always make it a point to ask the cabdriver questions. I ask and I ask and I ask, until I begin to get a gut feeling about something. And thats when I make a decision.
Its nice to hear that he feels like hes 35! I might think he were joking, except Ive seen the schedule he keeps.
We hear over and over that Trump is a good listener. Look how often he stops talking during a rally and response to someone in the crowd and then continues on with his sentence. His skills of listening and memory are AMAZING!
His pilot said on a video that his biggest fear is letting his boss down.
I’m also reading The Art of the Deal. Great book. It’s not just about business deals, a lot of it is biographical.
When Trump was a kid, he and his brother would pick up coke bottles on the construction sites to return for the deposit. He’s a billionaire now, but has memories of appreciating a few cents in change.
