Maybe closer than most people are aware of. The defamation lawsuit by Alharbi against Beck, The Blaze, Mercury Radio and Premier Networks has been wending its way through the Massachusetts court system since March, 2014.
Beck has lost every motion to dismiss, and recently (March 2016) filed his statement with the court that he will not settle the case out of court.
Since the plaintiff, Alharbi, demanded a jury trial, and it looks like the judge will be hearing final motions soon, the case could be going to trial as early as this summer.
If Beck loses, and it appears more likely than not that he will, the judge could order millions of dollars in damages.
