Two great story’s freepersup. it is a great feeling to help people in need.........
Thank you. Fond memories. One more-
I took Timmy to see the Chicago Cubs, play the St. Louis Cardinals, at the old Busch Stadium, in St. Louis, MO., and took him with me to see the St. Louis Cardinals, play the Arizona Diamondbacks, also at Busch Stadium.
One former Cub, played for the Diamondbacks, and one former Cub, played for the Cardinals.
During one play, the former Cubs catcher (now an AZ. Diamondback) had gotten a hit, eventually winding up on third base, and broke for home on the next hit and scored. Timmy, my developmentally challenged friend looked up at me with this great big grin and says- Cub’s factor.
Later, a Cardinals pitcher is called into the game from out of the bullpen. Timmy turns to me and says with the same big grin on his face- Cubs factor. [The relief pitcher used to play for the Cubs.]
He knew more about the players than I did.
Loves’ me some developmentally challenged people! ;O)
