White male physicians in the United States earn a whopping 35 percent more than their black male counterparts — even after accounting for factors such as field of medical specialty, experience, and hours worked.
Data published Tuesday in the British Medical Journal also showed a large gender gap. White female physicians earned 40 percent less than white men, and black women earned less still.

This white female physician makes exactly what my male and black counterparts make. In 30 years of medical practice I have never made anything more or less than my male or minority colleagues for the same job and experience level. I find this hard to believe, other than the fact that some specialties are compensated much more generously than others. Maybe there are less female or black neurosurgeons....
Maybe because people are doing what my father - a doctor - advised me to do after the “Bakke” decision in the late ‘70s: only go to white male docs if they were younger than about 25 at that time. Why? Because they will have gotten into med school with a significant handicap (Affirmative Action), so they will be smarter than their minority or female compatriots of a similar age. He told me that for older docs, the opposite was true, that they were smarter to get in with significant discrimination against them. He didn’t like to give that advice, but he said that since you won’t get to examine their med school application, or compare it to those of their classmates, that this policy was the safest bet.
Has nothing to do with their abilities and IQ, or where they choose to open a practice.

I like your attitude, and I happen to feel exactly the same way. At this point in time am I being called a racist is a badge of honor, given who the people are who throw that term around. One of my cousins is a particularly obnoxious liberal a$$hole, and every time it happens to criticize me or My Views, I thank him for reinforcing my sense of being correct. It pisses him off even more.
Would you rather go to a doctor who had the deck stacked against him, but made it into medical school anyway, the affirmative action admission, or the two point affirmative action admission?

And THAT is why Red Fox (Sanford and Son) wanted a white dentist to work on his teeth instead of a Black Dentist in one of their old shows.
Come to find out, the black dentist was just as highly trained as the white dentist who “claimed” to Red that he had gotten his license through a mail order school.
It must be all the competition among Black Doctors. I have noticed that around 90% of all Dr.s are Black and maybe 70% of those are female.
That has to be correct as TV would never mislead you.
I have no problem paying a black doctor the same as a top white doctor provided he went to the same top school (and not as an affirmative action case either), earned the same top grades, blew everyone away during his residency and fellowship, published a number of outstanding papers in his specialty, etc. ‘Course the article fails to take any of that into account.

I saw an ad for a dental plan. White males doctors were shown in black and white creating an image of a bygone era. Then, in color, women and minority doctors were shown which represented how the dental visit would be modern. Who wants to go to a white male dentist anyway. Yuck, so like 1950’s. Like, OMG. :-)
My alma mater actively went on trying to recruit blacks for veterinary college and I'd venture that only 1% of all of the graduates from its 30+ years were black because they refused to lower the standards for admission.

With Socialism you drag everyone down to the lowest level ... so what they are whining about is that some doctors refuse to be dragged down .... to say NHS standards.

Yeah, let me know when the black doctors come from the same school, get the same board scores, are working in the same hospital at the same job, and the mean hospital pays the black guy less. Doesn’t happen. They are making less because they are coming from crappy schools that were what they could get into, or they got into a good school on affirmative action and their grades and scores are not as high. Guess what, affirmative action ends when the result of political correctness is dead patients.
“People” celebrate when women want a female doc and blacks want a black doc, but if you are a white male and look for a white male doc, you are a racist.
