No kidding. I’m still wrestling (no, wrestling is NOT fake)with:
3 guys rent a hotel room to play cards and pay 30 bucks for the room- 10 bucks each.
Hotel manager realized the room is only 25 bucks and gave 5 bucks to the bellhop to return to the 3 guys.
Bellhop decides these guys don’t know they’ve been overcharged nor how much, so bellhop keeps 2 bucks and gives the guys 3 bucks back - a dollar each.
So instead of the 3 guys paying 10 bucks each, they’ve only paid 9 bucks each.
9 bucks times 3= 27 bucks.
The bellhop kept 2 bucks which equals 29 bucks.
Where did the other dollar go ?
