Hugh Hewitt is demanding that Ryan and McConnell change the convention rules to make the first two ballots “advisory” and to require a super-majority to win the nomination.

How can anyone think that such patently anti-democratic shenanigans to make the vote irrelevant so that the GOP can anoint its chosen nominee would lead to anything but the permanent dissolution of the party?

There would be a revolt and a lot of people would walk out. Whether that would be “for show” or not is anyone’s guess.
