The man said he wanted to draw attention to the fact migrant shelters werent as spacious or luxurious as they had hoped, but wanted to blame the fire on right-wing Germans. In that sense, his motives are in exact alignment with the liberal government and liberal press.

The thing is...after you do the paperwork....there’s potentially six to ten months of waiting around in the shelters or temp warehouse operation, until you get approved for a visa. The reality then hits as they say ‘fine’, and you go out to find out that affordable living costs for a simple two-bedroom apartment in a major urban city....means the equivalent of $700 (that’s for the bottom tier of choices in a city like Frankfurt or Koln). Add on electricity and heat, and you could be talking about $1000 easily. And you haven’t even gotten around to talking food costs.
Reality then sits in as you discover you are minimum wage potential and you are just one step away from ghetto-living standards. This guy here....if he doesn’t get sent back home now...will find the next version of reality to be pretty harsh. German is not cheap to live in.
