A quick computation shows 700,000 GOP votes, to 1,100,000 Dem votes. Not an insurmountable figure with crossovers and independents, plus an indictment from the FBI/DOJ.
See my post 900. Independents were allowed to vote in the Democratic Primary, but not the Republican Primary.

Interesting about the discrepancy between the two parties in regard to their rules.
Clinton leading with 350,000 votes and 31% of the votes being reported.
