July 2016: 2016 Republican National Convention

The 2016 Republican National Convention will be held from July 18-21 at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. The delegates will select the Republican presidential and vice presidential nominees and will write the party platform. A simple majority of 1,237 delegates is needed to win the presidential nomination. While most of the delegates will be bound on the first ballot depending on the results of the primaries, a progressively larger number of pledged delegates will become unbound if the nomination requires more than one ballot. Following Trump's decisive win in Indiana and the subsequent suspension of the Cruz and Kasich campaigns, not to mention Trump clinching the nomination following his decisive win in Washington state, it became clear that there would not be a contested convention in Cleveland.

Trump tonight will likely be very humbled by the honor to serve his country. As he always says, he is just the messenger with a very BRAVE Heart.

I was introduced to the snack idea of frozen cherries being eaten while backpacking. Buy them at the last minute on the way out of town, when heading back to the trailhead. Also when riding in a hot car in the summer. Very refreshing.

Freeze cherries. Take them on the go, just about anywhere when it’s hot out.

I don’t put a lot of stock in this statistic as the population of the US in 2000 was 282 million and in 2016 it is about 322 million, about a 14% increase. A better stat would be delegate count.......

That's assuming the judge actually wanted to give California and Texas back to Mexico.

If he wasn't. If he was just somebody networking and making connections for career reasons and they're the same way, it's a different story.

After all the publicity this story has gotten, it's not likely to help Trump with Latinos.

The Republican primary started with 17 contenders. Never has a Republican primary had so many candidates to point that they had multiple 2 tier debates.

There is no doubt Trump has garnered more votes and holds a very high mandate from MILLIONS of Primary voters all over the country. People have been voting since February. Their vote counts and Trump won over 16 other has beens.

RESPECT what the man has done without the establishments backing and the media after him 24/7. He WON. Very impressive.

What Trump has accomplished in less than 1 year is unprecedented. That is why Trump is so popular. People know he doesn’t need this. He’s putting his life on the line and willing to do so because he loves our country and truly wants to make it great again!

Tonight is going to be so good! And then it is game on going after Hillary. He will most likely start in on her tonight. All eyes on Trump tonight, and Hillary will eventually be indicted or just lose in a record landslide.
