The funny thing is that when I was in the Marine Corps Infantry I used to love to jerk my fellow Marine’s chains by referring to us as Naval Infantry. I have always been a sarcastic smart a$$. I didn’t do well in the infantry. But I had my corp of good buddies. We used to refer to the mission of the Marine Corp as being field day Thursday evening and inspection on Friday morning. I was in during the Reagan years and everyone was so scared of Reagan that it was a boring time to be a Jarhead.
