Buck’s developed into one of the better 2nd tier subs.
We were busy on the FFL’s loading dock, unloading semi’s pallets of ammo, new firearms and accessories, for upcoming Father’s Day 6/19, so I could only catch snippets of the show. I operate the forklift and intra-net computers, and have a helper to do the unpacking, or whatever I need done. I should be able to get all of the show on Hump Day, if more trucks don’t show-up unannounced.
Yes, I think so. I heard him on the day he first subbed for Rush, about a year or two ago. That show was fantastic. I remember having to make a few stops in my car, but I was so glued to Buck's interesting comments about foreign policy and his years working at the CIA, I didn't want to get out of the car. I marveled that this brilliant, mature guy was only 32 years old.
Then I heard Buck in for Rush a couple more times, and he was awful. He kept doing silly impressions, and cracking stupid jokes. Just filling time. Surprisingly bad, given his first show was so good.

Steyn used to blame Kit Carson for cracking him up over the intercom but now that Carson is gone Steyn has no one to blame for his annoying tendency to hyperventilate while he laughs at his own jokes. In addition, he goes round the houses for so long in his tortured descriptions of lefties that any humor is completely lost.
Unfortunately, his frequency of appearance means the ratio of shtick to commentary has shifted in the wrong direction.
