“Is this a serious question?”

I have heard NO credible reports of the mayor or police chief giving stand down orders. All I’ve read are reports from anonymous sources, with no hard proof.

The chief’s statements would tend to support that there was such an order given, but so far, no credible witness has come forward, nor has anyone provided a memo or written directive.

The mayor and chief will get away with this because there is no evidence.

You don;t think that the Mayor would have taken an ad out in the newspaper ordering the police to stand down do you? Of course there is no concrete proof. Whatever else the Mayor is, he is no fool. The conduct of the police while the Trump supporters has to be taken into account. You are correct in that the Mayor will get away with what he did, because the Supreme Court has ruled [probably in more that one case]that the police have no duty or obligation to protect a citizen. I believe that the last time they ruled thusly was during the Reagan Administration. I could be wrong as I am going from memory. You can look it up, if you like.

No they will get away with this because it's Gov policy from the top-Obama and "his" Justice Dept.

Hillary, Obama et al had nothing to do with a stand down order in Benghazi also right?

Because there is no evidence?
