Or polyps on her vocal chords. I had that problem years ago. I was coughing so much I would pass out. When the dr finally listened to my telling him that it was not just a common cough, he ran tests, did X-rays and discovered them. I had surgery and have not had that problem since. I remember one time I had a coughing spell, passed out and landed in a small trash can. Scared my daughter and husband. The dr told me I was passing out so I could get oxygen. Not a fun time.

Wow. Thank goodness you found out what was wrong and got it fixed. Modern medicine can be a blessing, to be sure.
