One direct hit to the thug's face would probably burn long enough to give you time to re-aim and hit him somewhere else...like "his pants".
One thing I learned when I was young, and my brother taught me how to street fight, if you hit a woman in the boobs, it does the same thing as a man when you hit him down there...won many battles that way!!!
