I’d be pretty sure re-usable bags are bad science. Wife uses them and they degrade pretty fast. Only biodegradable make any sense at all. Even them, maybe 10-20 trips and they are falling apart. Depending on what is put in them. And, they are unsanitary. Sitting in the bottom of a dirty cart. Carrying unwashed items.
And, thin plastic would only be a degrading problem if they took off the handles which catch birds and whatnot.
If someone studied this, seriously, I think there would be a end to it.
What happens when your bags wear out?
Eventually Ann Arborites will have to take suitcases to the grocery.
The idiots voted these liberals in...they deserve what they got!!!
I'll be using my debit card.
No, I meant, a paper or plastic bag?
Neither, I want you to "recycle" a cardboard box, instead of throwing it in the trash.
Since we are on the subject of plastic bags,I saw on the local Pittsburgh news this morning that a group of ladies in a church are using plastic store bags and knitting mats out of them. The looked really nice and they are using them for laying on the ground for a blanket or sleeping bag on top. Great Idea!
Yes I tend not to shop in counties that do not include something to carry the products out of the store. So far my very low income and unemployed county still gives bags for free, some counties around us don’t. I used to shop outside my county. Now I don’t and I use the inter-web to order stuff delivered.
I re-use the plastic bags - every time I scoop the litter boxes. Then it all goes in the weekly trash bag, which isn’t free either. Seems like the only free thing in this state is SHIT.
