Iran’s top leader said Friday that trusting or cooperating with the United States would be a big mistake, an assertion that seemed to rule out any greater collaboration despite the nuclear deal reached nearly a year ago.

The statement by the leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, made in a nationally televised speech, was the latest in a series of signals that Iran’s senior leadership was not likely to allow any easing of hostility toward the United States.

"Iran’s senior leadership was not likely to allow any easing of hostility toward the United States." -- and we were groveling, instead of bombing them out of existence.

damn that evil bastard, no surprises here

it’s actually better this way than if he provided our liberal 5th columnists with more pretenses that we can work with the Iranian regime

we need to get full info to all of the pubic on (1) the real nature of the Iranian Islamo-fascist regime, (2) the real facts of the nuclear deal, Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs, etc., (3) the nature and extent of Iran’s terrorists activities and support internationally, (4) what really went down with our 10 sailors captured and humiliated,

etc. etc.
