Awww... I grew up loving black music, back when they had actual music. But nobody plays Motown anymore...

No kidding. Sam Cooke, Four Tops, James Brown, too many to name ... back when black music and harmonies were great.

Now it's ugly thug crap.

Leon Bridges is a welcome throwback, though.

What to do each day to needle — and weaken — and impoverish — and demoralize. AMericans. Yes. Obama is a Muslim version of the ever ready bunny

Yep.

Shoot, Barry White, Earth Wind and Fire, “Who’s That Lady”’ by the Isley Brothers. Too many to mention. All excellent musicians.

Motown was great. Rap and hip-hop stink.

I can’t disagree. Thanks to black music we have Rock and Roll. Those were the good old days! Remember the crap Elvis and others got for singing that Ni**er music?

Now, now, there’s no reason to insult pigs.

;)

He panders to everything he can. How people cannot see through him is beyond me. I think it must be supernatural blindness (as prophesied in the Word of God).

There is no logical nor rational reason why this poser isn’t painfully-obvious.

“But nobody plays Motown anymore...”

I do. (I always say that I used to listen to “black music” back when it used to be good.)

Try explaining to young folks how everything, Soul/R&B/Rock and Roll used to all be on the same radio station. :-)

I used to wash dishes at the Bolling Air Force Officers club when I was 16, basically scraping dishes and loading them into the Hobart.

Three black guys, pot-washers with aprons and long rubber gloves—they sang the best Motown while they worked. Perfect harmony.
We would pour the undrunk wine into one jug and the hard stuff into another.
Free drinks, that lemon-scented dishwashing detergent steam-cleansing my sinuses, and Smokey Robinson, Sam Cooke, the Temptations ... I almost would have worked there for free.

To do list:

1. Encourage cash-strapped cities to hold festivals
2. Provoke a confrontation
3. Stoke the conflagration
4. Repeat

It sure could have been written for Barry. The lyrics fit.
