Sure. That the Jewish community of Salonika no longer exists, and with them, 80% of all Ladino speakers. To Golden Dawn, that’s a good thing.
For some reason I grew up knowing that Salonika (now Thessaloniki) was ravaged by the Nazis worse than any other Greek city, but I didn’t know until now that Ladino-speakers settled there following their expulsion from Spain in 1492.
I’m sure that Golden Dawn looks forward to the day that Yavenik Jews (the Jews who have liven in Greece, have their own Greek dialect and traditions) go extinct in Greece.
