The jobs are in Vietnam, China, Burma, and Mexico, thanks to our government’s policies.
That’s the achilles’ heel of the economic mobility theory. Massive numbers of Americans are not going to move to third world, non-english speaking countries to find a job.

I did say that it involved creating a good labor environment, meaning, a supply of educated, highly skilled people. I’d say that our educational system is producing about 90% of graduates with educations and skills roughly equivalent to Vietnamese rice farmers, except that ours would have considerable knowledge about how white people have committed crimes against other peoples over the centuries.
As an ex-pat with all the expat goodies? Hell yeah.
For forever? No.
