Trump was masterful in his handling of a hostile media. He’s got them completely under his control. They can’t not cover him.
Hillary couldn’t dare show her hideous face on the same day Trump detailed all of the millions he gave to vets. That may have led to a question about the Clinton Crime Foundation.

Trump plays the media like a fiddle.
They challenge him on his vet donations, hoping to raise doubts among the public about his honesty, and what does he do? He waits. He waits until they have dug themselves a deep enough hole, and spun up the story to the point that everyone is paying attention...
Then he counter punches. He uses the platform they’ve created to hold a press conference and say not less than a dozen times “We’ve raised almost 6 million dollars, and there’s more still coming in. I think we’re going to end up over 6 million when all is said and done.” Then he holds the reporters at bay while he reads a list of at least 2 dozen veteran groups, and the amount of money each received.
When they cry foul and ask if they are “always going to be treated like this” he says YES.
Love it.
It made me laugh when I heard him say it.
