A non-legal means of removing an overreaching POTUS would also mean a member of the upper military arresting POTUS for dereliction of Duty since he is commander in chief and would be part of the “command structure”. The military could detain him indefinitely as well, effective removing him from command structure, this happens in coups a lot.
Tell a whole LOT that a lot of people’s first thought would be “Assassinate” word.
Basically the military would be forced to remove him from power via coup. That doesn’t mean they would actually have to shoot POTUS, just detain him.
