In a new statement, the TSA placed blame on passengers, claiming that individuals are at fault for showing up to checkpoints unprepared. Individuals who come to the TSA checkpoint unprepared for a trip can have a negative impact on the time it takes to complete the screening process, the agency said in a press release, which also included travel tips to help cut down on delays. The release also blamed the uptick in wait times on shrinking staff and a rise in travelers. Chicagos OHare Airport, for instance, has seen an 8 percent rise in travelers since the start of

I agree with TSA on this one. If people would stay off the damn airplanes, there would not be long lines. I have been doing my part since 2004 to keep the lines short.
So now the TSA’s are victims?
The blame goes to Muzlimes who flew planes into buildings.
We have TSA recheck and don’t have to go through the same regs as people without. No shoes off, no belts removed, no little plastic bags and you can usually keep your jacket on. Five out of ten people don’t know the drill and hold everyone up. Add to that the jerks who still don’t know that you empty your pockets and don’t try to carry on their water bottles. It’s not rocket science.
The TSA is filled with sexual perverts and a bare few decent people. I have never walked through one of the full body scan machines because it is just begging for cancer. Consequently, I have been groped many times in airports, especially since I need a cigarette during layovers. Outside an airport, this is a felony. I never request a private screening, because I want the sheeple and the few who are awake to be reminded of the grotesqueness of the act.
How about getting rid of these F’n clowns and take our chances.
+1
The TSA isn’t getting the job done, and blaming the travelers for their inadequacy. Typical leftist government. Nothing is ever their fault, and they have the President, the party, and the cabinet to prove it.
True, if people just read the signs and were prepared it would help. Ever stand behind someone in a line or a security line and they weren’t ready and held people up? Next thing you know the line quadruples. It has a domino effect. That happens in any line.
I am not and have never been a fan of TSA. That being said. Have you ever noticed the amount of stuff that many are trying to bring through? You are supposed to carry one carry on item along with a smaller bag such as a laptop bag, purse, etc. Many seem to be bringing everything they own. Sorry, but were I running the airlines there would be a strict limit. One small carry on period. You want to speed up the process? Start making the passengers a little more responsible. I spend way too much time in an airport security checkpoint waiting on folks in front of me with numerous bags, earbuds in their ears or on cell phones not paying attention to anything.
Get an E-cig for travel and go to the bathroom to vape it. I used to (before I quit) just blow the vape cloud down my shirt. The vape cloud goes away quick.
I’ve always blamed the muzzies.
Went to work at TSA right after 9/11, sense of duty and all, and will say that THEN we had 1/3 of the people that really cared and were busting our butts to give good, but secure service to travelers, 1/3 were just there for the pay, and FULLY 1/3 of those hired had absolutely no business anywhere near there.
Saw the writing and left after a couple of years, BUT I will say this, some people come to checkpoints without an ounce of common sense, I’ve seen people try to bring the strangest things with the (one kid had his DOORKNOB) etc
, you know, so no one could get in is room.
And have often times seen women come thru wearing what seems to be every piece of jewelry they owned, and then wonder why the metal detector goes off.
And believe me, most of us truly did not want to have to (grope) anyone, these instructions came from higher ups that never sat foot on a checkpoint
Just my 2 cents, may not be worth that..
November 1, 2013 - LAX. Terrorist shot his way through a checkpoint (killing one TSA agent, wounding 2) and got into the secure area before he was shot by a police officer.
Private aviation the the way to go....
Hmmm. I thought the root cause was terrorism. MUSLIM terrorism.
Private aviation is the the way to go....
It is true that people who are clueless really slow down the line. That said, there have been clueless passengers in security lines ever sine the start of TSA. Why the long lines now?
In the meantime, Delta airlines used their own resources to redesign the TSA process at their Atlanta hub and spent their own money to reconfigure the TSA processing stations accordingly with a significant increase in speed and efficiency.
