More disturbing is the charge that she made up lies about the victim - that the victim had made previous spurious charges, and had fantasied about having sex with older men.
If those statements were, in fact, baseless, then she lied to the court to get a child rapist off. There is a line between a vigorous defense, and breaking the law to get a client off.
May I remind everyone that the only people who are not under oath in any court proceeding are the attorneys representing either side. Sure, they are supposed to adhere the guidelines, but . . . . . . the system protects those in the system.
Just look to the recent story of the DOJ attorneys who admitted they lied to the Judge in Texas, and the judge let them off with just a stern scolding.
