> Not unless you can point to a single, verifiable, non-correctable step in “due process.”

That the system is inherently imperfect because of the fallibility of man, as I mentioned - and thus it is unavoidable that the death penalty will cause innocents to be put to death. Errors in the execution of due process, which are routine, become impossible to correct when the irreversible act of ending a life occurs.

I believe that the above is self-evident, but if you do not agree, let’s try this another way.

Other than the abortion issue, in what way do you believe the principles involved in being pro-life should influence policy?

Well, you still haven’t validated your claim that the process is inherently flawed because of man’s involvement. While in a practical sense you are correct, that does not impeach the validity of the process to absolve the society practicing it from wrongdoing.

Furthermore, you are conflating a form of murder with a form of justice by ignoring things such intent, crime, and punishment.

No, I believe along with most legal theoreticians throughout man’s recorded history that your assertion is anything but “self-evident.”

But on to the “other way.”

I believe abortion should be proscribed and punished in every circumstance excepting legitimate fear for the physical life of the mother. Yes, that includes rape, incest, and fetal deformity.
