The only way they’re not mutually exclusive is if you believe the justice system has and always will have a perfect record in such cases. Otherwise one must acknowledge that having the death penalty means putting some innocents to death along with the guilty.

Nope. The difference is "due process." Accidental execution of the innocent has it, and abortion doesn't.

Something that is statistically inevitable is no accident. It's inherent in the design of the system. To write off these deliberate executions of innocents as accidents, when they necessarily must happen due to the fallibility of man's judgment is not consistent with a pro-life position.

This is one of those issues that separates being genuinely pro-life from being merely anti-abortion.
