But early optimism that this would be an easy race is evaporating.

The guys a maniac, John Burton, the chairman of the California Democratic Party, said about Mr. Trump.

But it is the campaigns approach to Mr. Trump that is making even Mrs. Clintons most loyal supporters uneasy.
Senator Chuck Schumer of New York is concerned that she lacks a comprehensive strategy to confront Mr. Trump, and has told Democrats that the Clinton campaign must bring on a senior staff member dedicated only to the Trump portfolio.
As soon as she clinches the nomination, we need a high-level person in the campaign whose sole job is to respond to Trump, almost on an hourly basis, said Mr. Schumer, who has begun conversations with Clinton officials about who could fill that role.

Debates have broken out in Mrs. Clintons Brooklyn headquarters over the best approach to take.

Sometimes, you get the feeling that theyre in a professional boxing match and hes in a street fight, and theyre coming in with their gloves on, said the Rev. Al Sharpton, expressing dismay over the Clinton operations apparent lack of appetite for combat.
This is a street fight with a guy with a razor and a broken Coca-Cola bottle, he added, and youve got to fight him like that.

For now, her aides appear to be throwing ideas against a wall to see what sticks, including trying out different monikers after the Democratic National Committees Dangerous Donald flopped. An internal favorite is Poor Donald, with its implication that Mr. Trump, famously defensive about his net worth, is not nearly as wealthy as he lets on.

It wouldnt be a general election without some early bed-wetting from Washington insiders, said Robby Mook, Mrs. Clintons campaign manager.

Historically, "protesters" ALWAYS do their worst against the the Dems at their presidential conventions. LOL
Bedwetting? HRC will have to carry wipies and a diaper bag for her Depends.
“As soon as she clinches the nomination, we need a high-level person in the campaign whose sole job is to respond to Trump, almost on an hourly basis,”
Right. Because Hillary herself is incapable of answering Trump. So, when her campaign starts that BS, he needs to point out that she’s either intellectually incapable of personally responding or she’s chicken. Over, over and over again.
As soon as she clinches the nomination, we need a high-level person in the campaign whose sole job is to respond to Trump...”
... because Hillary isn’t capable of doing it herself. The only two things she is good at are lying and stealing.
Nah, I'm thinking it's more like Hannibal at Cannae.
Hillary has been broken coke bottles and razor blades her whole life. She has no up in her style to go? She has been in a war room eruption for 30 years now. She must be exhausted to the point of psychosis.
Fascinating article. Totally exposes Hillary’s campaign as a stodgy behemoth of last century ideas and tactics, slow to respond, petrified of doing the wrong thing, and clueless about how to respond to someone who’s as honest and fearless as Donald Trump.
The Democrat’s entire strategy during the last decades has basically been to attack the Republicans by using the Republicans’ timidness and fearfulness of being viewed as non-PC against themselves. Obviously that singular tactic won’t work against Trump and they now have no idea in the world what to do.
Given that the Democrats don’t know how to attack Trump and essentially have no practical platform or practical ideas that they can use to convince people that they themselves are worthy of governing, they’re screwed. Totally screwed.
Hillary has a lot of skeletons in her closet. Her campaign does not know what Trump knows and what he doesn’t know.
A Real Estate Mogul, Donald Trump lives rent-free in their heads.

Isn’t this the job of the candidate? But if she’s not up to the task, I will be helpful and suggest the democrat who could probably stick it out for 5 months—Anthony Weiner. He’s done it before.
that’s freudian, dude :-)
Heh. Let’s talk about being poor and open the door to showing her five mansions that she and her husband got from their oh, so exciting speaking abilities. “Yay, we sure did hit the jackpot by being in the White House!”
I am trying to imagine the mindset of a government official who, 32 years after the IBM PC was introduced to the market, still claims that she cannot operate a PC. And this is a person who claims tat she is not just competent but uniquely qualified to be President? Yikes!
“thats freudian, dude :-)”
____________
Stole it from my favorite actual headline, one in the NY Post that headed up a story about Weiner refusing to drop out of the mayor’s race. The headline?
“WEINER: “I’LL STICK IT OUT”
I thought that they "only" had two.
Where are their other three manses ?
This video says she has four, but I don’t know if it’s accurate. This is what I was thinking of.

It says she *had* lived in them, so she probably sold some of them.
And don't forget, for a minute, that Hillary was beaten by Obama for one reason and only one reason.....he is a mulatto and being a female didn't beat that. Of course, beating McQueeg, for either was easy, exceedingly easy; however, Trump isn't anything at all like any GOP nominee in over 100 years, so there's also that wee problem, for the Demks, now too.
She and Bill rent different mansions out in the Hamptons every summer; they do NOT own any of them, to the best of my knowledge, which is pretty damned vast.
The own TWO mansions...one in N.Y. state and one in D.C.; that's it, though they probably bout Chelsea's 10 MILLION dollar apartment, or somehow got that money to her.
Just because one "lives" someplace for several months, doesn't mean one "owns" the place. When we were having our house built, we lived in a RENTED townhouse for the last 4 months of its completion. We didn't "own" that townhouse, but we certainly did live in it.
