And of course it had to be racist. There’s no other reason and there is no bsckstory or other details available. It was racism. It had to be the way the world is nowadays, everything and everybody not a member ofns grievance group is some sort of bigot.
No clicky lefty sites.
Can’t he just be grateful for the fact that when he goes out for a job they’ll likely replace a white guy for him?!
You’d think his pigmentation would be adequate.
Was he wearing it over his robe or under it?
Would that be a Kunta kente?
I wonder what a graduation ceremony would look like if every one graduating, the teachers and dignitaries all showed up wearing costumes to “celebrate their ...(fill in the blank)... heritage”.
As the man said, “It’s all about me”.
Officials at Cosumnes Oaks High School allegedly disapproved of the garment and one insisted Holmes remove it. When the graduate refused, the sheriff's office was called.
But SFGATE has to make it sound like the Sheriffs Officers are to blame...
what the hell is it?
kente cloth? okay, so we Amerikuns are ignorant ... we just haven’t memorized the mutl-variated mores and articles of clothing and decoration and jewelry of all 6,999 societies and tribes on Rock Three
sorry he couldn’t carry his cloth, a cloth sounds fairly harmless... but he really shouldn’t expect everybody else to always understand what he’s “trying to identify with” .. especially if he selects something that is so unknown where he lives
Kunte Kente?
How is that any different than a white student wearing a tee shirt with a confederate flag and sent home because of the shirt?
Did that ever happen at a graduation ceremony? It is a different circumstance if it is just any other day.
Something tells me he was removed for reasons of behavior. Not because of his scarf.
This guy is gonna have to brush off all the employers salivating to hire him.... /s #lawsuitwaitingtohappen
Marine Barred from Graduation Ceremony for Wearing Uniform Instead of Cap and Gown
A Marine was barred from walking at her graduation for wearing her uniform instead of a cap and gown at a high school in Chicago.
You ain’t THAT old!!. KUNTA KENTE, think “Roots”.
No, I doubt that was the reason; there is always more to the story much like Couric’s missing 9 seconds and other doctored issues.
