Just because conservatives get the short of the end of the stick (many times) in these type situations doesn’t mean we should abandon the 1st amendment. The ‘disruptive’ argument is just meant as a way to justify taking away someones rights. It’s not right when it’s done to conservatives and it’s not right in this case.

It could be argued that the message itself was dismissive of dialog, which is counter to the 1st Amendment freedom of speech. It is not as though it said “Some people are gay. Let’s talk.”
