I saw the entire post-debate riot debacle in ABQ. Yes, one of those beautiful police horses reared up in fear of the mob, then went down awkwardly, with a police officer on its back. The thugs laughed hysterically when the horse went down.

The mob then harshly pushed rolling dumpsters into the other horses (there were only 7 horses). Plus several police officers had to be treated for injuries sustained by the unruly -- mostly Mexican -- mob of thugs.

And while all this was going on, not ONE word from the ABQ police chief, mayor, nor Gov. Martinez. Stone silence. Disgraceful.

Did one of the horses have to be put down? I thought I read that (no, not the Preakness).

Police horses are very beautiful.
